gloProfessional has partnered with the National Breast Cancer Foundation and created glominerals gloMarvelous in pink kit which is now in stores! A portion of all proceeds are being donated to the NBCF to support its mission to save lives by increasing awareness of breast cancer through education and by providing mammograms for those in need.
This do-gooder of a kit has been stirring up quite some attention! From various trade magazines to widely visited websites such as seventeen.com and iVillage, everyone has been raving about gloMarvelous in pink!
And it's no wonder, the products included are sure to turn some heads. The kit contains gloLiquid lips in pink ginger, which launched this past summer and became an instant hit. Pink ginger is a sheer, flirty pink with just a hint of sparkle that looks incredible on all skin tones. Plus, its perfect for fall to balance the ever-popular smoky eye that you surely will be sporting (more to come on smoky eye looks soon!).
The kit also includes a NEW gloEye shadow shade, ballerina, that was created just for this kit. It is a combination of an icy, light pink, a shimmery, deep rose and a gentle, foggy gray. To be completely honest, the first time I saw this trio I thought it was pretty in the compact but was wary of how these colors were going to look once put on. I'm not a pink eyeshadow kind of girl. Actually, I'm typically not a fan of pink in general. Does this stem from a bad incident with pepto-bismol as a child? No clue, but if I buy something pink its usually because of a certain cause behind it.
Back to the makeup... so, I was skeptical...but shocked when I gave it a go and LOVED what I saw. The pinks aren't super pink once on, but instead really delicate washes of color. After playing around with these 3 shades I've concluded that they look lovely worn together, but even better, they all pair nicely with other shades for endless look possibilities. The gray makes any eye color pop, but to amp it up even more try pairing with a gloEye shadow in blue suede and gloPrecision eye pencil in twilight for a twist on a smoky eye (TIP: the blue makes the whites of your eyes look brighter...perfect for you late-nighters out there). If you love color, pair the 2 shades of pink and add gloEye shadow in eggplant to the mix - voila! Gorgeous. Don't limit yourself to my suggestions - get creative! Post a comment and let me know what combos you are loving.
Whether you're picking this up for yourself or for someone else, you can feel good about helping provide women help for today and hope for tomorrow.
