Bridal Beauty Countdown: 3 Months Until the Big Day

Guest Post by gloProfessional’s National Educator, Ami Shvartzman.

Spring is an exciting time for those of us in the beauty industry- flowers are blooming, gorgeous new colors are launching and love is in the air! April also marks the three month countdown to prime wedding season. The following are some helpful beauty tips to start following 3 months before you tie the knot!

Get Sensational Skin

The three month mark is a great time to start working on tackling any skin care issues you want to improve before your big day. For this I recommend:

1. Start a Consistent Skin Care Regimen - Daily cleansing, exfoliating and moisturizing  is such an important part of having a great complexion. So is using a great SPF every single day. Try multipurpose products like glo therapeutics Daily Polishing Cleanser, and SPF 40 Facial Moisturizer to save time for a busy bride to be! Now is also a great time to start treating specific skin concerns like acne and hyperpigmentation (or dark spots in the skin). Do this by using efficacious serums like glo therapeutics Lightening Serum or Renew Serum nightly.

2. Body Treatments- Remember, some skin conditions (like dry skin, keratosis pilaris or acne) can affect the entire body, not just the face. To look great in that wedding gown work on treating these with glo body products like Sugar Body Polish, Smoothing Salt Scrub and new Therapeutic Body Exfoliant.

3. Facials and Chemical Exfoliants- Need to bump it up a notch? Facials and chemical exfoliants are a great way to boost skin cell turnover, improving skin’s luminosity, helping with acne or hyperpigmentation, slowing down the signs of aging and just generally brightening skin texture and tone. Receiving a series of exfoliant or facial treatments can dramatically improve skin maladies before a special event, like a wedding! Contact gloProfessional at (800)232-0398 to be directed to a glo treatment specialist near you.

Wake Up It's Time for Makeup
Now that we've worked on making that skin beautiful, it's time to talk about makeup. Whether you're applying it yourself on your big day or using a professional (three months is the time to book a great artist and do a consultation/trial) it's important to determine two things at this juncture:

1. Find the Look that’s Right for YOU- Are you a natural bride? A glam bride? A sweet and innocent bride? Using example photos from magazines and books can help you find inspiration and keep your makeup artist on the right track.

2. Find the Right Products- Using a healthy, protective and long lasting line is so important when it comes to wedding makeup. glo minerals is a makeup line that improves the health of your skin and can really be an extension of your skin care. Using a blend of vitamins and antioxidants (Vitamins A, C, E and Green Tea Extract)  and broad spectrum UV protection, glo minerals is anti-inflammatory and helps to protect the skin on the big day and everyday. It is also talc and filler free, non comedogenic and triple milled which makes glo minerals High Definition quality. It photographs like a dream, so you look gorgeous in those wedding pics!

Wax On - Help Get Those Brows Under Control
Make an appointment with your local waxologist because now is the time to start working on the perfect brow shape. This will leave you quite a bit of time just in case you have an oopsie and something goes wrong! Tweeze and upkeep those arches between appointments with the glo minerals Brow Collection which contains every wax, powder, stencil, tweezer and brush you'd ever need for the perfect brow!

Make Your Health a Priority
This is the time to begin replacing alcohol and caffeine with water to hydrate the skin and body. Also, don’t over do-it with a crazy diet or exercise regimen. Exercise 3-5 times per week to keep energy levels high and eat your fruits and veggies. A balanced diet is a great way to have enough energy to make it through those fittings and trials. And don’t forget to get some rest! Sleeping through the night is the best way to remedy pre-wedding jitters (but just in case, Vital Eye Cream is great for dark circles and puffiness).

So relax, enjoy, and follow this Ami Approved wedding series!
