Bridal Beauty Diary: Treatment #6

Bridal Beauty Diary: Treatment #6

My wedding day is quickly approaching which means last month’s beauty treatment with Amanda was a much needed break from all of the last minute planning and responding to wedding related emails. Plus, I think the added stress of my busy schedule is causing some very unwanted breakouts around my chin (again). I am so in awe of Amanda and how well she tailors each treatment to my specific needs (and manages to help me relax and take a much needed break from the chaos).

To begin the treatment, Amanda removed all makeup, dirt, and oil from my skin with Cyto-luxe Cleanser. She recommends that I use this cleanser whenever my skin is on the drier side. Plus it’s a great cleanser to use to help prep the skin prior to a peel because it has Papaya Enzyme. Next, Amanda toned with Purifying Tonic which also assists in the peeling process.

Prior to performing a few extractions, Amanda applied a thin layer of Pro 5 Exfoliant. This ultra-light peel is the ideal professional product to use prior to performing extractions because it really helps loosen up the follicles. You can even add steam to this step to intensify the benefits. Following extractions, she applied a second layer of Pro 5 Exfoliant to make sure my skin was good and clean.

For my peel, Amanda decided to go a little stronger than we have in the past. During my last treatment, she performed a patch test for the Lactic 20%. This peel is ideal for dry, dehydrated skin in need of brightening, which is perfect for a bride-to-be! It also helps reduce inflammation and redness which means it can be good for sensitive skin too! Because there weren’t any negative reactions to the patch test she moved forward with the treatment.

First, Amanda applied the Peel Prep with a cotton-filled gauze pad, then allowed my skin to dry completely before applying a layer of the Lactic 20%. You can leave this on for 4-6 minutes so Amanda left it on for 5 minutes and then neutralized with glo’s Neutralizer. To help further calm my skin, she applied the Cucumber Recovery Mask and left this amazing mask on for 10 minutes (my favorite part), then removed with a steamed towel. To finish off the treatment, Amanda applied Cyto-luxe Eye Cream, 15% Vitamin C, B5 Hydration, Balancing Moisture Remedy, and Solar Shade SPF 50.

The next day my skin felt absolutely amazing. It no longer felt dry and dehydrated and instead looked healthy, moisturized and glo-ing! This was quite possibly my favorite treatment in this bridal series!
